Application Details

General description

Anti-CD16 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the FcγRIII receptor on NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages, mediating antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and cytokine release. It is essential for NK cell activation and functional assays. Anti-Human CD16 mAb (C02402) is expressed from mammalian cells. It is an IgG1 isotype with high affinity for human CD16a and CD16b, and is widely used in advanced cell culture, immunology research, and NK cell therapy development.

Application

· NK Cell Activation and Expansion — Activates NK cells for cytotoxicity and cytokine production assays.

· ADCC Mechanism Studies — Investigates antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity in combination with therapeutic antibodies.

· Monocyte and Macrophage Activation — Triggers FcγRIII-mediated signaling in myeloid cells.

· NK Cell Therapy Manufacturing — Supports the activation and expansion of therapeutic NK cell products.

· Serum-Free Culture Systems — Suitable for chemically defined and xeno-free cell culture media.

Backgroud

CD16 (FcγRIII) is a low-affinity Fc receptor for IgG that mediates ADCC, phagocytosis, and cytokine release. CD16a is expressed on NK cells and macrophages, while CD16b is a GPI-anchored form on neutrophils. Anti-CD16 mAb cross-links CD16 molecules, activating ITAM-bearing adaptor proteins and downstream signaling that triggers granule release, cytokine production, and target cell killing. In NK cell therapy, anti-CD16 is used for activation, functional validation, and ADCC assays.

Q&A

Q1: What is Anti-Human CD16 mAb mainly used for?

Anti-CD16 is primarily used for NK cell activation, ADCC studies, monocyte activation, and NK cell therapy manufacturing.

Q2: Is this Anti-CD16 mAb suitable for serum-free culture systems?

Yes. EastMabBio Anti-Human CD16 mAb is compatible with serum-free, xeno-free, and chemically defined media systems.

Q3: How should Anti-CD16 mAb be stored?

Lyophilized antibody should be stored at -20°C or below. After reconstitution, aliquot and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Q4: What shipping conditions are used?

Products are shipped on dry ice with validated cold-chain packaging to maintain stability during international transportation.

Q5: Do you provide QC documents?
