Application Details

General description

Anti-CD3 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the CD3 epsilon chain of the T cell receptor complex, providing the primary activation signal for T cell stimulation. It is the cornerstone of polyclonal T cell activation protocols and CAR-T cell manufacturing. Anti-Human CD3 mAb (C00404) is expressed from mammalian cells. The Isotype is Mouse IgG2a/kappa, and is widely used in advanced cell culture, immunotherapy research, and cell therapy manufacturing.

Application

· T Cell Activation and Expansion — Provides Signal 1 for polyclonal T cell stimulation in combination with CD28.

· CAR-T and TCR-T Cell Therapy Manufacturing — Activates T cells prior to genetic modification and expansion.

· T Cell Proliferation and Function Assays — Stimulates T cells for cytokine production, cytotoxicity, and proliferation studies.

· Regulatory T Cell Induction — Supports iTreg differentiation protocols in combination with TGF-β and IL-2.

· Serum-Free Culture Systems — Suitable for chemically defined and xeno-free cell culture media.

Backgroud

Anti-CD3 mAb mimics antigen recognition by binding to the CD3ε subunit of the TCR complex, inducing conformational changes that activate LCK, ZAP-70, and downstream signaling pathways. In combination with anti-CD28 co-stimulation, anti-CD3 drives robust T cell proliferation and effector differentiation. In cell therapy manufacturing, immobilized anti-CD3/anti-CD28 is the standard method for activating T cells prior to lentiviral transduction and clinical-scale expansion.

Q&A

Q1: What is Anti-Human CD3 mAb mainly used for?

Anti-CD3 is primarily used for T cell activation, CAR-T cell therapy manufacturing, T cell functional assays, and regulatory T cell induction.

Q2: Is this Anti-CD3 mAb suitable for serum-free culture systems?

Yes. EastMabBio Anti-Human CD3 mAb is compatible with serum-free, xeno-free, and chemically defined media systems.

Q3: How should Anti-CD3 mAb be stored?

Lyophilized antibody should be stored at -20°C or below. After reconstitution, aliquot and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Q4: What shipping conditions are used?

Products are shipped on dry ice with validated cold-chain packaging to maintain stability during international transportation.

Q5: Do you provide QC documents?

Yes. COA, MSDS, TSE-BSE statements, endotoxin reports, binding affinity data, and additional QC documentation are available upon request.
