General description
Anti-CD28 is a monoclonal antibody that provides the essential co-stimulatory Signal 2 for full T cell activation, proliferation, and survival. It prevents anergy and promotes robust T cell responses. Anti-Human CD28 mAb (C02302) is expressed from mammalian cells. The Isotype is Mouse IgG1/Kappa, and is widely used in advanced cell culture, immunotherapy research, and cell therapy manufacturing.
Application
· T Cell Co-stimulation and Expansion — Provides Signal 2 for full activation in combination with anti-CD3.
· CAR-T and TCR-T Cell Therapy Manufacturing — Enhances T cell expansion and prevents activation-induced cell death.
· T Cell Anergy Prevention — Ensures productive T cell activation and memory formation.
· Regulatory T Cell Expansion — Supports the proliferation of natural and induced regulatory T cells.
· Serum-Free Culture Systems — Suitable for chemically defined and xeno-free cell culture media.

Backgroud
CD28 is the primary co-stimulatory receptor on T cells, binding to CD80 and CD86 on antigen-presenting cells. Anti-CD28 mAb mimics this interaction, providing the essential second signal that synergizes with TCR engagement to drive full T cell activation, IL-2 production, and survival. Without CD28 co-stimulation, T cells become anergic or undergo apoptosis. In cell therapy manufacturing, anti-CD28 is used in combination with anti-CD3 for robust polyclonal T cell expansion.
Q&A
Q1: What is Anti-Human CD28 mAb mainly used for?
Anti-CD28 is primarily used for T cell co-stimulation, CAR-T cell therapy manufacturing, anergy prevention, and regulatory T cell expansion.
Q2: Is this Anti-CD28 mAb suitable for serum-free culture systems?
Yes. EastMabBio Anti-Human CD28 mAb is compatible with serum-free, xeno-free, and chemically defined media systems.
Q3: How should Anti-CD28 mAb be stored?
Lyophilized antibody should be stored at -20°C or below. After reconstitution, aliquot and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Q4: What shipping conditions are used?
Products are shipped on dry ice with validated cold-chain packaging to maintain stability during international transportation.
Q5: Do you provide QC documents?
Yes. COA, MSDS, TSE-BSE statements, endotoxin reports, binding affinity data, and additional QC documentation are available upon request.
