Application Details

General description

Interleukin-7 is a homeostatic cytokine essential for T cell and B cell development, survival, and memory formation. It serves as a critical factor for maintaining naïve and memory T cell pools in the periphery and supports the expansion of T cells for adoptive cell therapy applications. Recombinant Human IL-7 Protein (Y02401) is expressed from mammalian cells. It contains ASP 26 - His 177 (Accession # P13232), and is widely used in advanced cell culture, immunotherapy research, and cell therapy manufacturing.

Application

· T Cell and NK Cell Homeostasis — Supports survival and proliferation of naïve and memory T lymphocytes.

· CAR-T and TCR-T Cell Therapy Expansion — Enhances long-term persistence and stem cell memory phenotype.

· Preclinical T Cell Reconstitution Studies — Models immune recovery after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

· NK Cell Development and Cytotoxicity — Promotes NK cell maturation and effector function enhancement.

· Serum-Free Culture Systems — Suitable for chemically defined and xeno-free cell culture media.

Backgroud

Interleukin-7, also known as IL-7, is a member of the short-chain helical cytokine family produced primarily by stromal cells in the bone marrow and thymus, as well as by intestinal epithelial cells and keratinocytes. It signals through a heterodimeric receptor composed of IL-7Rα and the common γ-chain, activating JAK1/JAK3-dependent STAT5 signaling that promotes survival through upregulation of Bcl-2 family proteins and cell cycle progression through modulation of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. IL-7 is indispensable for early T cell and B cell development in the primary lymphoid organs and maintains peripheral T cell homeostasis by providing tonic survival signals to naïve and memory populations. In contrast to IL-2, which drives effector T cell expansion and contraction, IL-7 promotes long-term survival and the development of stem cell memory T cells that exhibit superior in vivo persistence and anti-tumor efficacy. In cell therapy manufacturing, IL-7 in combination with IL-15 has emerged as a preferred cytokine cocktail for generating T cell products with enhanced durability and therapeutic potency.

Q&A

Q1:  What is IL-7 mainly used for?

IL-7 is primarily used for T cell homeostasis maintenance, CAR-T cell therapy expansion, immune reconstitution modeling, and NK cell development.

Q2: Is this IL-7 suitable for serum-free culture systems?

Yes. EastMabBio recombinant IL-7 is compatible with serum-free, xeno-free, and chemically defined media systems.

Q3: How should recombinant IL-7 be stored?

Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C or below. After reconstitution, aliquot and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Q4: What shipping conditions are used?

Products are shipped on dry ice with validated cold-chain packaging to maintain stability during international transportation.

Q5: Do you provide QC documents?

Yes. COA, MSDS, TSE-BSE statements, endotoxin reports, bioactivity data, and additional QC documentation are available upon request.
