Interleukin-7 is a homeostatic cytokine essential for T cell and B cell development, survival, and memory formation. Interleukin-7, also known as IL-7, is a member of the short-chain helical cytokine family produced primarily by stromal cells in the bone marrow and thymus, as well as by intestinal epithelial cells and keratinocytes.
