General description
Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the proliferation, differentiation, and mobilization of neutrophil granulocytes. It is widely used clinically to prevent chemotherapy-induced neutropenia and to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells. Recombinant Human G-CSF Protein (Y06201H) is expressed from mammalian cells. It contains AA Thr 31-Pro 204 (Accession # P09919), and is widely used in advanced cell culture, hematology research, and stem cell mobilization studies.
Application
· Neutrophil Differentiation and Function — Drives the maturation and activation of granulocytic lineages.
· Hematopoietic Stem Cell Mobilization — Models G-CSF-induced stem cell release from bone marrow.
· Chemotherapy-Induced Neutropenia Research — Investigates protective mechanisms and therapeutic strategies.
· Neuroprotection Studies — Explores G-CSF-mediated neuronal survival and recovery after injury.
· Serum-Free Culture Systems — Suitable for chemically defined and xeno-free cell culture media.

Backgroud
G-CSF signals through the G-CSFR homodimer, activating JAK2-dependent STAT3, PI3K-AKT, and RAS-MAPK pathways. It is produced by stromal cells, macrophages, and endothelial cells in response to inflammatory stimuli. G-CSF is the most widely used hematopoietic growth factor clinically, with recombinant forms (filgrastim, pegfilgrastim) standard of care for neutropenia prevention and stem cell mobilization. In research, G-CSF supports neutrophil differentiation assays, HSC mobilization models, and emerging neuroprotection studies.
Q&A
Q1: What is G-CSF mainly used for?
G-CSF is primarily used for neutrophil differentiation, HSC mobilization, neutropenia research, and neuroprotection studies.
Q2: Is this G-CSF suitable for serum-free culture systems?
Yes. EastMabBio recombinant G-CSF is compatible with serum-free, xeno-free, and chemically defined media systems.
Q3: How should recombinant G-CSF be stored?
Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C or below. After reconstitution, aliquot and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Q4: What shipping conditions are used?
Products are shipped on dry ice with validated cold-chain packaging to maintain stability during international transportation.
Q5: Do you provide QC documents?
Yes. COA, MSDS, TSE-BSE statements, endotoxin reports, bioactivity data, and additional QC documentation are available upon request.
