General description
Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGF-β3) is a pleiotropic cytokine essential for embryonic development, palatogenesis, and scarless wound healing. It exhibits distinct anti-fibrotic properties compared to TGF-β1. Recombinant Human TGF-β3 Protein (Y07901) is expressed from mammalian cells. It contains AA Ala 301 - Ser 412 (Accession # P10600), and is widely used in advanced cell culture, regenerative medicine, and wound healing research.
Application
· Scarless Wound Healing Research — Models fetal wound healing mechanisms and anti-scarring therapeutics.
· Palatal Fusion Studies — Investigates craniofacial developmental biology and cleft palate pathogenesis.
· Chondrogenic and Osteogenic Differentiation — Directs MSC differentiation for cartilage and bone tissue engineering.
· Fibrosis Antagonism Studies — Explores TGF-β3-mediated suppression of fibrotic responses.
· Serum-Free Culture Systems — Suitable for chemically defined and xeno-free cell culture media.

Backgroud
Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGF-β3), also known as ARVD or RNHF, is a member of the TGF-β superfamily. TGF-β3 is highly expressed during embryonic development, particularly in the developing palate, lung, and kidney. Unlike TGF-β1, which promotes fibrotic scarring, TGF-β3 is associated with scarless wound healing observed in fetal tissues. This distinctive property has generated significant interest in TGF-β3 as a therapeutic candidate for reducing post-surgical adhesions and hypertrophic scarring. TGF-β3 signals through the canonical TGF-β receptor-SMAD pathway but can activate alternative signaling cascades that oppose pro-fibrotic gene expression programs.
Q&A
Q1: What is TGF-β3 mainly used for?
TGF-β3 is primarily used for wound healing research, craniofacial development studies, MSC differentiation, and anti-fibrosis investigations.
Q2: Is this TGF-β3 suitable for serum-free culture systems?
Yes. EastMabBio recombinant TGF-β3 is compatible with serum-free, xeno-free, and chemically defined media systems.
Q3: How should recombinant TGF-β3 be stored?
Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C or below. After reconstitution, aliquot and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Q4: What shipping conditions are used?
Products are shipped on dry ice with validated cold-chain packaging to maintain stability during international transportation.
Q5: Do you provide QC documents?
Yes. COA, MSDS, TSE-BSE statements, endotoxin reports, bioactivity data, and additional QC documentation are available upon request.
