LwaCas13a

LwaCas13a (also known as C2c2) belongs to the class II type VI CRISPR system effector protein and has crRNA-mediated RNA endonuclease activity. In the presence of PFS sequence in the target single-stranded RNA, it can specifically cut the target RNA. By designing RNA probes labeled with fluorescent groups or other markers at both ends, CRISPR/Cas13a can detect RNA templates and amplify signals. The results can be observed by a fluorescence meter or test paper.  

In addition, Cas13a also has trans-cleavage activity (i.e., bypass cleavage activity) that depends on the target single-stranded RNA. When LwaCas13a protein combines with crRNA and target RNA to form a ternary complex, the trans-cleavage activity against non-specific sequence single-stranded RNA will be activated, and the single-stranded RNA of any sequence in the system will be chopped up, which can be used to develop a rapid detection kit for target nucleic acid.  

This product is prepared by one-step purification, which retains the enzyme activity to the greatest extent. After testing, the enzyme activity is significantly higher than similar products.
